About the product
Architectural, fundamental, primitive, the Min Chair stands strong, a baseline design in pine. Distinctive in profile, subtly subversive, and characterised by a repeated diagonal angle, the Min Chair is a brand-new seating standard by Max Lamb. The chair’s design is a lesson in the economy of material and means. Invented as a self-build product by Lamb, the form is made from little material and minimum cuts. A single pine post is sliced at a diagonal angle to create the greatest surface area for two legs. Another post, similarly cut, produces both back legs and back rest. A third post, again cut on the diagonal, yields the seat. The result is a chair with maximum character made from minimal material, a clever design greater than its modest parts.
